iBP over coL to win SoCAL Revival #2

iBUYPOWER have come from the lower bracket to defeat compLexity 2-0 (16-13 de_inferno, 16-12 de_dust2) to win SoCAL Revival #2.

SoCAL Revival #2 ran into trouble last night as the event started getting attacked via DDoS. Regardless, the tournament was played out without any stream or GOTVs available.

In the upper bracket North America's two best teams, iBUYPOWER and compLexity, ran through the competition. When they finally met, it was coL who came out on top 25-22 in triple overtime on de_cache.

Lower bracket saw Reliable, who are 6-8 in ESEA Invite right now, plow through the competition, including Area51 in the lower bracket final. They were then ousted by iBUYPOWER 16-6 on de_cache.

DaZeD led his team to a 2-0 grand final victory over coL

In the grand final compLexity needed to only win one map out of three, as the organizers adjusted the schedule from the original best-of-five grand final plans due to the delays that saw the event finish around 4am local time.

Spencer "hiko" Martin's side went up 10-5 on the counter-terrorist side of de_inferno, and also won the terrorist pistol round. Down 5-12, iBP mounted a serious comeback, and won 16-13.

The deciding map was then de_dust2, where coL once more started well, scoring seven rounds on the defensive side. It wasn't enough though, as Sam "DaZeD" Marine's side cruised to a 16-12 win.
